Mountable shaft collars with face holes are designed to mate directly with components such as sprockets, pulleys, and metallic plates. Ruland manufactures them with drilled holes for mounting flexibility or threaded holes for the most secure connection between the collar and mated component. They are offered in steel, aluminum, and 303 stainless steel in bore sizes ranging from 3/8” to 2” and 10mm to 50mm.
Clamp style universal joints improve over set screw style because they do not mar the shaft, offer infinite adjustability, and can be used on all shaft types. Ruland is the only North American supplier of clamp style universal joints and manufactures the clamp feature, bores, and keyways in our advanced manufacturing facility in Marlborough, MA USA. They are available in sizes from 1/4" to 1 1/4” in steel for high strength and stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
Ruland offers three types of mounting bases: the swivel clamp base, the flanged bolt base, and the two-way tube connector base. The bases are designed to hold and connect tubes in modular mounting systems. Each base features two drill holes that allows them to be connected to our mounting blocks and portable magent bases. The bases are made to fit tubes with outer diameters ranging from 8mm - 20mm.
Ruland flanged bolt bases are used with mini-clamp tube connectors to function as feet or work-holding flanges. The width of the bolt can be 8mm to 20mm and is designed to fit hollow round tubes and the bores in any tube connectors. The flanged bolt bases have two drill holes that fit with our portable magnet bases to facilitate rapid repositioning of modular mounting systems. All flanged bolt bases are manufactured from zinc plated steel for corrosion resistance and stability.
Ruland one-way base mounts have one square or round bore ranging in size from 8mm to 20mm allowing for a single clamping connection. The one-way mounting base comes standard with two drill holes that match the drill hole spacing of Ruland mounting and portable magnet bases. Designers can select a standard socket head cap screw or add a clamping lever kit to clamp the square or round tube in place. Ruland one-way mounting bases are available in aluminum with a plain or black anodized finish.
The swivel clamp base is typically combined with swivel clamp tube connectors to make swivel clamp mounting joints. Designers can then add tubes and build onto the mounting system. The rounded edges of the swivel clamp base allow tubes and rods to be constructed with flexibility in confined spaces. The drill hole spacing of the swivel base fits with Ruland portable magnet bases to facilitate rapid repositioning. Swivel bases are available in aluminum with a plain or black anodized finish.
Two-way tube connector bases are typically used as a base in support structures for mounting sensors, plexiglass guards, cameras, and countless other applications. They have vertical and horizontal bores that are designed to fit square and round tubes with an outside diameter of 8mm to 20mm. Tubes are clamped into place with socket cap screws that can be replaced with clamping lever kits if frequent movement of tubes is required. The drill hole spacing of the two-way base fits with Ruland portable magnet bases which are used to easily move the modular mounting system around. Our two-way bases are available in aluminum with a plain or black anodized finish.
