Ruland manufactures face mount shaft collars with precise face to bore perpendicularity (TIR ≤ .002" or 0.05mm), which is critical when they are being mounted directly to another component. They are available in bore sizes ranging from 3/8” to 3” (10mm to 80mm).
This Ruland bundle combines a one or two-piece shaft collar with a clamping lever to make a quick release shaft collar. Bore sizes range from 3/8” to 1 ½” and 11mm to 40mm. Collars are available in anodized aluminum, plain aluminum, 303 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel, steel, plastic, and zinc..
Modular mounting components consist of mini-clamp tube connectors, swivel clamp tube connectors, mounting bases, tubes/rods, and adjustable clamping levers that are designed to easily fit together. Ruland offers a large range of modular mounting components to enable nearly all positioning options for mounting systems. Tube connectors have standardized hole spacings, bore sizes, and thread dimensions that make Ruland modular mounting systems simple to build and replace. Once completed, modular mounting systems have a variety of uses such as positioning sensors, scanners, reflectors, cameras, coolant pipes, and air nozzles.
Ruland adjustable spring joints are designed for use with round tubes (8mm – 20mm) and commonly used in applications that require wide shaft tolerances where non-Ruland tubing is used and standard tube connectors are not suitable. They are comprised of a clamping lever, threaded stud, two springs, and two V-grooved clamps separated by spacing plates. They are supplied with standard lever kits making removal, replacement, or repositioning of tubes simple. Ruland adjustable spring joints are available in aluminum with a plain or powder coated finish for added corrosion resistance.
Bracket clamps are designed for use with Ruland mounting brackets. They have a single bore (8mm-20mm) that can fit square and round tubes and a tapped thread where a screw connects the clamp to the bracket. Our bracket clamps can fit M4, M5, or M8 screws. Designers can substitute standard hardware with a clamping kit if frequent repositioning of the sensor is desired. Bracket clamps are available in aluminum with a plain or black anodized finish for added corrosion resistance.
Ruland clamping lever kits are designed to replace hardware (M4-M6) in mini-clamp and swivel tube connectors where fixed positioning is not desired. They do not require any tools and save time in applications where components require frequent repositioning. Clamping lever kits have a zinc die cast handle and stainless steel inserts making them suitable for general industrial and high corrosion applications. There are also clamping kits that do not include a lever. These clamping kits are specifically for swivel clamp tube connectors and they just include the extra spacing bushings.
Mini-clamp tube connectors are designed to hold and connect our round (8mm - 20mm) and square (10mm - 16mm) tubes in modular mounting systems. Our variety of mini-clamp tube connectors allow for many different positioning options. Standardized hole spacings and thread dimensions make our tube connectors easy to replace. Ruland mini-clamp tube connectors are made of aluminum-alloy which has excellent strength and chemical resistance. The version with a black anodized finish has the same benefits plus added protection against corrosion.
Ruland offers three types of mounting bases: the swivel clamp base, the flanged bolt base, and the two-way tube connector base. The bases are designed to hold and connect tubes in modular mounting systems. Each base features two drill holes that allows them to be connected to our mounting blocks and portable magent bases. The bases are made to fit tubes with outer diameters ranging from 8mm - 20mm.
Mounting brackets are typically used to mount sensors, cameras, monitors, control panels and more in a variety of applications and operating environments. Ruland offers mounting brackets with a precut sensor hole or with no hole allowing the designer to fit the application requirements. All mounting brackets are made of stainless steel and are RoHS3 compliant.
Portable magnet bases attach to Ruland mounting bases and mounting blocks. They allow the user to easily reposition modular mounting systems within the application or use different preset systems in the same application. These powerful retaining magnets are a good substitute for permanently installed bases where marring of the work surface is not desired. They have a relatively high coefficient of friction, which creates high lateral retaining force ensuring they will not slip in most standard industrial applications. Ruland portable magnet bases are made of neodymium, iron, and boron with zinc plated steel components and a rubber jacket.
Swivel clamp tube connectors are designed to connect tubes in modular mounting systems. These tube connectors feature rounded edges which allow for additional movement and adjustability. Ruland swivel clamp tube connectors are available in aluminum-alloy that has excellent strength and chemical resistance. Versions with a black anodized finish are also available and they provide the same benefits plus added resistance to corrosion. These parts connect square and round tubes with outer diameters ranging from 8mm - 20mm.
Ruland has both square and round tubes in lengths of 100mm, 200mm, and 300mm. Our square tubes are made of lightweight aluminum and our round tubes are made of durable 304 stainless steel. Square tubes are available with outer diameters of 10mm, 12mm, and 16mm and the round tubes have outer diameters of 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 16mm, and 20mm. All tubes are designed to fit with our mounting bases and tube connectors. The bores on the tube connectors and mounting bases can fith both the square and round tubes. Tubes with scales are available for applications where precise control of location is required.
