Mountable shaft collars with face holes are designed to mate directly with components such as sprockets, pulleys, and metallic plates. Ruland manufactures them with drilled holes for mounting flexibility or threaded holes for the most secure connection between the collar and mated component. They are offered in steel, aluminum, and 303 stainless steel in bore sizes ranging from 3/8” to 2” and 10mm to 50mm.
Clamp style universal joints improve over set screw style because they do not mar the shaft, offer infinite adjustability, and can be used on all shaft types. Ruland is the only North American supplier of clamp style universal joints and manufactures the clamp feature, bores, and keyways in our advanced manufacturing facility in Marlborough, MA USA. They are available in sizes from 1/4" to 1 1/4” in steel for high strength and stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
Ruland clamping lever kits are designed to replace hardware (M4-M6) in mini-clamp and swivel tube connectors where fixed positioning is not desired. They do not require any tools and save time in applications where components require frequent repositioning. Clamping lever kits have a zinc die cast handle and stainless steel inserts making them suitable for general industrial and high corrosion applications. There are also clamping kits that do not include a lever. These clamping kits are specifically for swivel clamp tube connectors and they just include the extra spacing bushings.
Mini-clamp lever kits come standard with a handle, distance sleeve, threaded stud, and a spacer bushing. All of the components except for the zinc handle are made of 303 stainless steel. They do not require any tools and save time in applications where components require frequent repositioning.
The clamping kits for swivel clamp tube connectors come with extra bushings. The centering bushing positions the swivel clamp tube connectors in relation to each other. During assembly, the knurled threaded bushing is inserted by the clamping screw itself. By pressing into one of the two swivel clamp joints it serves to clamp the entire assembly together.
