Mountable shaft collars with face holes are designed to mate directly with components such as sprockets, pulleys, and metallic plates. Ruland manufactures them with drilled holes for mounting flexibility or threaded holes for the most secure connection between the collar and mated component. They are offered in steel, aluminum, and 303 stainless steel in bore sizes ranging from 3/8” to 2” and 10mm to 50mm.
Clamp style universal joints improve over set screw style because they do not mar the shaft, offer infinite adjustability, and can be used on all shaft types. Ruland is the only North American supplier of clamp style universal joints and manufactures the clamp feature, bores, and keyways in our advanced manufacturing facility in Marlborough, MA USA. They are available in sizes from 1/4" to 1 1/4” in steel for high strength and stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
Ruland TW:BT-1R-1/4-XX-NM is a T-handle slip type torque wrench with with a 1/4" square drive size. The torque is preset at the factory and the user must choose the desired torque during the purchasing process which can be 0.23-5.60 Nm for this wrench. During opertaion, once reaching the specified torque the wrench automatically releases and resets. This prevents tightening above the preset value, even with continued turning. The T-handle profile alllows the user to easily grip the torque wrench and rotate by hand. TW:BT-1R-1/4-XX-NM is manufactured by Seekonk Precision Tools in Massachusetts from chrome plated alloy steel for durability and longevity in industrial environments. It is made in accordance with Federal Specification MIL-STD-45662A and comes standard with an NIST traceable certification. Periodic calibration is required depending on frequency of use.
