    Torque Wrenches

    Torque wrenches are used to precisely install hardware to a preset torque. They simplify installation, prevent over torquing, and maximize performance in installations where joint tension is critical to component performance, such as a shaft collar or coupling. Operators will either set the wrench to the desired torque or purchase them with a preset torque from Ruland. This ensures proper torque for the application is being applied during hardware installation. We have a large selection of hex sockets and bits to pair with all of our torque wrenches.

    All Ruland torque wrenches are manufactured by Seekonk Precision Tools in Massachusetts with a proprietary internal mechanism that ensures hardware can not be over torqued.They come standard with NIST traceable certifications and are made in accordance with Federal Specification MIL-STD-45662A.

    Ruland supplies preset T- and L-style wrenches for torque values ranging from 2.3 lbs-in (0.26 Nm) to 1,080 lbs-in (122 Nm). Customers can enter the exact torque setting required for their application and we will have it made and shipped within two weeks.

    Ruland offers 5 dial torque wrenches with torque settings ranging from 0-600 lbs-in. They have a torsional bar system manufactured from a special molybdenum alloy steel that is electronically heat treated to exacting standards. Mated to these exclusive torsional elements are precision made dial indicators resulting in uncompromised accuracy, even after years of service.

    Adjustable

    Ruland has two adjustable torque wrenches with a torque range of 30-150 lbs-in. Adjustable torque wrenches have a micrometer that is used to adjust the torque setting. The wrench features a twist-locking action that prevents accidental changing of torque settings. When selected torque value is achieved, a distinct click is felt and heard, followed by a sudden release through several degrees of free movement. The long knurled handle makes this wrench ideal for tight spots where dial wrenches won't work. Manufactured from alloy steel and chrome plated. Accuracy +/- 4% + 1 in.lb.
