Quick-clamping shaft collars are ideal for light duty or low-rpm applications that require frequent setup changes or adjustments. The handle sits flush with the outside diameter allowing the shaft collar to be precisely adjusted by hand without the need for tools.

Hi Bobby Watkins from Ruland manufacturing and in this segment were going to discuss Ruland’s quick clamp Shaft collar. This is a no tools required collar, lift up the handle position on the shaft, lock in place. Easy repositioning, for width adjustments applications whether it will be a web guide anything where you would need a width adjustment that you needed to do often. It’s very easy to do, no tools required, its suitable for a variety of industries and applications. Vertical high adjustments systems, and again maybe changing off a core of bags or labels on a packaging machine. The design is for non-rotating shafts, so stationary applications and the collar does not have the same holding power size for size of a similar clamping type (CL)One piece collar or a two piece type (SP) type collar, so you want to watch your axial load ratings which are listed for all these collars just to make sure that your axial load doesn’t go beyond the limitations of the collar.
