Question: How do I keep dust out of the gaps in my coupling?
Answer: Ruland does not offer a solution to keep dust out of the gaps of a coupling. In the zero backlash market it is generally not needed or common to see a system with this requirement. Typically zero backlash couplings are used in high precision applications where the environment is tightly controlled to optimize system performance. There are couplings from other manufacturers that have backlash that would meet this requirement. In this case this is actually what the customer was looking for.
