Mountable shaft collars with drilled/threaded face holes are used for mounting shaft collars to sprockets, pulleys, metallic plates, or other components. The drilled holes give designers the most mounting flexibility allowing for the use of inch or metric hardware with socket heads, set screws, or button heads to mount the shaft collar. The threaded holes give users the most secure interface between the collar and the mated component. They have the same thread size as the standard collar, reducing installation time. Ruland manufactures face mount shaft collars with precise face to bore perpendicularity (TIR ≤ .002" or 0.05mm), which is critical when they are being mounted directly to another component. They are available in bore sizes ranging from 3/8” to 3” (10mm to 80mm). Ruland offers face mount shaft collars in 1215 lead-free steel for high strength, 2024 aluminum with an anodized finish for lightweight, and 303 stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
Quick clamping mountable shaft collars combine a standard collar with outer diameter (OD) flats and holes and adjustable clamping handle. This creates a mountable shaft collar than can be rapidly adjusted without the use of tools. Quick clamping mountable shaft collars are well suited for sensor systems or welding applications where frequent adjustment is required. The shaft collar is manufactured by Ruland with tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity (TIR ≤ .002" or 0.05mm) which is critical when the shaft collar is used as a load-bearing face, mechanical stop, or for aligning components on a shaft. The tapped holes in the OD fit standard cap, torx, or set screws allowing the designer to use hardware of their choosing to match application requirements. Mountable shaft collars with OD holes are available in 1215 lead-free steel for the greatest holding power, 2024 high-strength aluminum for light weight, and 303 stainless steel for corrosion resistance. Bore sizes range from 1/2” to 1-1/2” and 12mm to 40mm. The adjustable clamping handle is sourced from JW Winco and is zinc die cast with a powder coated finish. They are available in black for general purpose use and orange for safety and identification.
