Indexing Plungers With Lock-Out
Indexing plungers with the lock-out feature are used in applications where the plunger must not protrude continually. To achieve this, the knob is rotated by 90° after being retracted. The head of the plunger body is provided with a suitable notch in opposite positions to prevent the plunger from accidentally slipping back into its forward position due to error or vibration. Lock-out precision indexing plungers are available with or without locknut. The locknut type is commonly used in high leverage applications where the indexing plunger needs to stay locked in a fixed position.
