How to Specify

For a complete coupling, order two hubs and one disk.

To order hubs, choose any bore size (inch, metric or mixed) available in the same outside diameter (OD). Part numbers are in the following format with an example of an inch to metric mixed coupling.

order ost

order most

To order disk, choose material type and outside diameter (OD). Inch dimensions are on the left side of the “/” and metric sizes are on the right. For example:

Note 1 Hardware is alloy steel with black oxide finish. Parts OST8 and OST12 have one set screw. OST16, OST21 and OST26 have two set screws 90° apart.
Note 2 Performance ratings are for guidance only. The user must determine suitability for a particular application.
Note 3 Couplings supplied with black anodized aluminum hubs.
Note 4 Torque ratings for the couplings are based on the physical limitations/failure point of the torque disks. Under normal/typical conditions the hubs are capable of holding up to the rated torque of the disks. In some cases, especially when the smallest standard bores are used or where shafts are undersized, slippage on the shaft is possible below the rated torque of the disks. Keyways are available to provide additional torque capacity in the shaft/hub connection when required. Please consult technical support for more assistance.
