Two-piece shaft collars do not mar the shaft, are indefinitely adjustable, and offer superior holding power when compared to one-piece and set screw type shaft collars. The split style design allows for in-place servicing and does not require adjacent components to be removed during installation, adjustment, or disassembly, significantly reducing labor and machine downtime. Ruland mates both halves of two-piece collars together throughout the manufacturing process for superior fit, holding power, and alignment. They have precise face to bore perpendicularity of TIR ≤ .002" (.05mm) making them ideal as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for component alignment. All Ruland shaft collars are manufactured from bar stock sourced from select North American mills in our Marlborough, MA factory for uniformity of product.
